How much does 1xp cost? 2 gp?

Huh? Sometimes there is a 25gp to 1xp formula used for spells that become spell like abilities and the ratio for crafting items. Is that what you are asking for?

Chimara said that it doesn't eliminate the material cost of the spell if the material cost is more than 1gp. So I assumed that the reason why you do not eliminate XP (which IIRC is considered a material component) is because XP must be worth more than 1gp...

You recall incorrectly. Experience points are a separate type of component, as listed on p. 174 of the Player's Handbook. Eschew Materials does not remove the requirement for Focus (F) or Divine Focus (DF) components either.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't, since the rule clearly states it's for material components.

ESCHEW MATERIALS [GENERAL]
Benefit: You can cast any spell that has a material component costing 1 gp or less without needing that component. (The casting of the spell still provokes attacks of opportunity as normal.) If the spell requires a material component that costs more than 1 gp, you must have the material component at hand to cast the spell, just as normal.
Nothing there about focus, XP, somatic or verbal components.
