Ethereal powers for Armor?

In the DMG, the Ethereal ability for armor is a +5 bonus, and grants Ethereal Jaunt with an unlimited duration but only once per day.

In DotF, there are two variants. One grants Ethereal Jaunt as a 9th level cleric (+3 bonus) and the other grants Etherealness as an 11th level cleric (+4 bonus). Neither of these specify "once per day" or any other limit.

Is there a default rule I am missing regarding abilities, or can the two abilities technically be used any number of times per day? I understand that as the DM I can force this to be "No, only once per day", but I am wondering if I am missing something in the rules text. I could not find any discussion of this in this forum (but with no search feature I may have just missed it).

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Not helpful, but my first thought on seeing this thread was of armor that has the ability to become ethereal....without making the person wearing it ethereal as well :-)

I have thought of the same problem, and I think the DMG is correct in that virtually every single enhancement in the DotF is overpowered, eg Armour of Speed.

Therefore I do not allow any of the weapon/armour enhancements from the DotF in my campaign.
