Is the hardbound going to be exactly like the PDF or is more going to be added to it? And what books can I expect to see for the setting in future.

I like the book, very interesting setting skillfully crafted and very cool. But I want more information.

I picked up the pdf yesterday and read through quite a bit of it last night. All I have to say is great job, Goodman. This is one of the few books I have in pdf that I will buy the print copy as well.

Hi Crothian and thanks for the review, good way to start the day! The hardbound will be the same as the PDF, its a big beast already :), and according to Joe looks great, me and Ben have to wait a little longer due to getting copies over here to Blighty. We already have a series of supplements planned that expand on the world itself and explore the various themes of the game alongside new crunch appropriate to each theme. The Great Metropolis setting is out in Feb and as our definitive setting offers real insight into day to day life in the world and social conditions and values. I'm Joe will be announcing some more of the stuff we've been working on soon. Cheers

As above, the hardbound is apparently beautifully produced so I'm sure you'll enjoy a nice shiny copy on your shelves, I know I will :) .

Glad to see it out. Do we know when most of us in the US will see that nice shiny copy on our shelves?

About two weeks according to Joe. A bit of time for a few more reviews to further whet your appetite :)

Will Etherscope be edible? Can it heal the sick?

;)

I'm more then likely going to pick it up. The setting has really piqued my interest, and I'm not much of a Victorian era Guy. (Cthulhu by Gaslight excepted naturally)

HPL is one of the big influences on the horror side of the game, though Conan Doyle, MR James and Algernon Blackwood are other significant influences, as well as a Cthuluhpunk vibe to go alongside the etherpunk themes of the game. As you liked gaslight, and personally I thinkit was one of the best Cthuluh supplements of all time, I'm sure Etherscope won't disappoint. Let us know.
