Etools technical problem

I have already sent an email to CMP, but wanted to see if anyone in this august forum can help.

My Etools .exe icon spontaneously disappeared from my computer since using the program last week.

I repaired, and then reinstalled etools again over itself which restored the icon but yielded this message:

"The procedure entry point ??1d_UIRaceDialog@@UAE@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link libary core. dll"

WIll I have to completely uninstall ETools, and reinstall from scratch?

Did you reinstall all of the latest patches and the most recent version of your data sets, too?

No, attempting to reinstall the 3.5 core books patch, informs me that it is installed, and I must uninstall and completely reinstall again.

My Core.dll files are still present.

Try using ET Helper to backup any custom data, and do a clean install of E-Tools and your data sets.
