Eulogize your favorite slaughtered sacred cow.

Goodbye simulationism, you will not be missed.

Au revoir necromancers, conjurors, illusionists, druids, bards, barbarians, psionicists and everything else we will see in a year or so's time.

I'll read a nice poem at the funeral, something with imagery.

I prefer "Here lies my beloved [Need for a Cleric], my autumn flower, somewhat less attractive now that she's all corpsified and gross." Firefly

I will miss you Suspension of Disbelief my old friend. You added so much to my early days of DnD. You were bloodied by the Bo9S and mortally wounded by $E.
Farewell
RIP

Although a late eulogy- goodbye, and how I will miss the table on page 192 of the 1st E AD&D DMG: is my randomly encountered Harlot a Brazen Strumpet (11-25%) or maybe a Rich Panderer (99-00%)? If only I knew what all those terms meant:)

With respect to 3.xE goodbye to crafting rules, how I wish I could make my own armour:(

All I gotta say is I don't want any of you all to say my eulogy.

"We are gathered here to remember Ken, beloved father and husband. Goodbye and good riddance, let you never rear your ugly, broken face again!"

;)
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!

Same way you make a magic item, it costs you the purchase price in time materials, etc... To follow up on a phrase I've seen leveled at 3.5 magic items - the GP economy is a point-buy enhancement system. The 4E money rules formalize this in a lot of ways. It does mean that the PCs do not participate in the world economy under the same rules as the NPCs. I'm OK with that; I'm not running an economic game. The economy exists to give me a macguffin. The world economy exists to serve the needs of the story, not the other way around.
