Euro 2024

Hopefully, Spain takes it. England played for naughty word, and in semis got good push by referee.

On the other hand, this Euro is one of more boring ones, excluding 2004 when Greece took. That one was hard to watch. Teams play not to loose and doing bare minimum needed to win, refereeing is iffy (as always in football), and players look tired, especially those from top clubs.

It time for UEFA to bring some changes in rules to make Euro interesting.

Yup, that's one of the problems. Domestic league, domestic cup, european leagues. Top players play something like 60-70 games if club has good season in all competitions. Plus games with national teams. Not to mention that qualifying rounds for CL,EL and CL have already started.

I have my fingers crossed for England!

From what I read, Spain are favourites to win, but we can hope.

Spain won, weeeeee. To be fair, Spain played best football on this Euro. Fast, attractive, attacking, always going for the goal. They showed most and i'm glad they won.

On the other hand, this was one of the most boring Euros i watched and i'm watching Euros since 1996. This format isn't working. Group stages were full of calculations, since 4 best 3rd placed teams go to elimination phase, combined with 24 teams.

Third round of group phase this year was worse than on the last Euro. Only 20 goals, compared to 39 on the last. Also, less goals in first two rounds compared to last Euro, and this year third round had less goals than first and second. Passes, strikes on target and dribble stats were also worst on this Euro than on the last.
