Even if you hate Drizzt, Still read this post.

Yeah... but a dual scim wielder without Improved Critical . Well. That simply shows us how much thought they put into designing him. :D

Strength 10, wasn't it? For a fighter with non finessable weapons and Dex 22?

Strength 13. And yeah, neither Drizzt nor Artemis were well-designed IMO.

I think Artemis is cooler, but did they really have to give him one level of front-loader... er, I mean, ranger and one level of assassin?

He also should have a much higher Search and Disable Device skill, and a rank or two in Profession (baker). I'm not kidding.

it's all too true...

reason My *possibly* not so original character uses small scimitars..FINESS! FOCUS! IMPROVED CRITICAL...shame about no specialization, but thats what happens when you don't take 4 levels of fighter.

Doesn't the FRCS have the cutlass statted somewhere? I can't remember whether it was 18-20, 1d6, slashing medium finessable, or 1d6 slashing small 19-20...

Anyone remember?

Drizzt & Artemis

Drizzt and Artemis in the books are much more powerful than the FRCS stats.

They are both level 20+ in the books.

The levels in the FRCS are from five or six years ago, and doesn't include the last half a dozen novels (for some reason when they wrote the FRCS they didn't bother to look at recent novels, they just took old versions of Artemis and Drizzt and converted them).

well, i'd definitly have thought them above 20+, but you'd think the writers *and while i have the utmost respect for them...* would think of this...
