Even Newer Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

A green robed jadite enters the tavern. His face frowned in disgust, the monk with pale skin, tatoos and shiny green eyes, scanned the place, his populated beard and hair waving as he spins his head right and left.
With calculated moves and unmatched grace, the figure walks in, his long exotic robe waving behind him.
"Sheng, of the Zim Clan" he announced in an accented common, before sitting down in an empty table. His green almost poisonous gaze jumped from one patron to the other, as if the man was looking for someone.

Raiko lifts his shield and follows the others out. "Yes I suppose we have little choice but to charter a ship of some kind." He clearly is less than pleased.

While the rest of her new companions exit the tavern, Jezebel walks the opposite direction and into her rented room. She emerges a few minutes later no longer clad in black cloth, but rather in a set of black plate with reddish hues. The floor creaks under the weight of the armor as she follows the others outside. She strolls past the barflies and exits through the main doors, pausing only long enough to mutter "How many of us will return I wonder?"

The door open abruptly and a large dragonborn walks in. He stops and scans the area just as a seasoned veteran of war would do. Satisfied, he introduces himself. "I am Baazuka. I come looking for work in order to train, so that one day I may avenge the death of my father. Until then, I'll kill all evil filth which I encounter in this world. It is what my father would have wanted of me to do." He then moves to a table near the back of the room with a chair by the wall so that he can sit and rest his back against it, and more important, observe every interaction taking place in front of him. He then waits for his opprotunity to show his skills.

Baazuka: Dragonborn Bravura Warlord 1 (not yet approved)

This is my 3rd character. I haven't reached the 6 lvl requirement to have three characters, but I'm close.

Haruka sighs and absentmindedly begins tracing esoteric patterns into her table with her fingertip. A thin line of smoke rises from where her digit touches the wood.

A powerfully built green dragonborn enters the inn with the dignity of a man used to risk his life for a higher cause. He is armored and wearing the sigil of the city guards. He takes stock of the manpower available and then clears his throat.

-''I am captain Patrin. I need a few extra bodies to check out a cult of warrior monks. Might be nothing big, if so you'll have made an easy 50 gold and will be back drinking ale in less than two hours. It might turn out hairy, too, in which case the pays goes up as survival chance goes down. These are warrior monks, after all. So, anyone here up for a short walk? The cult is pretty much accross the street. Perfect job if you are lazy.''

[sblock]And adventure for... well, pretty much any number of PCs of any level spread. Seriously.

Sheng eyed the dragonborn Bazuuka appraisingly, and shakes his head chuckling to himself. "Such a huge task you have ahead of you, young sibling of the dragons. I humbly wish you the best of lucks someone can have, as you will surely need it if you are to remotely succeed." the monk says from his seat, and smiles. Although his words were not aggressive in any way, they were sharp like blades, and tainted with the purest poison. The sorceror nods and looks elsewhere.

In that moment, another dragonborn burst into the tavern, with propositions in his mouth, and apparently, gold in his purse. In a graceful and fluid movement, Sheng switched from sitting on the table, to walking towards the captain, both hands in his back.
Taking his hands from his back, he placed the right open palm over the left closed fist, and made a short bow.
"Sheng of the Zim Clan. I'm also a warrior monk, and would be most interested in the task you propose. Also, I will be honoured if you share more information about them."

Haruka pushes herself out of her seat and towards the guard. "So, this business will be taking place within city limits?" she asks, her voice now that of a young woman's, Dauntonian, by the accent. "No forests, or swamps, or anything of that nature? Perfect." She grins wildly, then regains her composure and gives a shallow bow. "Haruka Sato, and it would be my pleasure to aid the city of Daunton. Rest assured that I have dealt with cults before."

The dragonborn turns on Sheng an raises an eyebrow.

-''Hmmph. You look more like the kind of man who'd be working in a cult than checking them out. But that's hardly a strike against you, given the job. You look like the arcane type. Got any specialty?''

[sblock=OOC]I'll wait 'til more people have manifested to go in details.[/sblock]

-''And another one who looks ready to go undercover without preparation!'' says the dragonborrn with good humor. ''That's excellent. I know squat about arcanes shenenigans. I can use your skills.''
