Event Registration

It's your interest but seminars and workshops are always helpful. Demo are fun, because some are put on by great DMs.

Also don't over book, given yourself time to look around and see everything that is going on, art show, auction, ENnies, dealer room...
Do Demo's have sign-up slots like workshops and seminars? Or do you just show up at Dealer booths...? I'm totally new to all of this.

Any general comments on the quality of pickup games, as opposed to planned events...?

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

From what I have read about True Dungeon, it'll be the first thing I register for!

I should also note that this will be my first Con experience, EVER. So, if that changes someone's advice, I'd like to know! :D

How much time do I need to enjoy the exhibitors area (ie, how much non-structured time should I have to get the best experience out of the deal....?)

Yes. :) It depends on the company. Some schedule events, some have demos going on at their booths (most notably the large companies) and some have them running in other rooms but you sign up for it at their booths.

Okay, if you have not downloaded the event book do it now. Map your day, include alternate events or event you may be interested in.

Note: dealer room opens at 10 Thursday and is open to 6 (except for Sunday I think), expect to take 2-3 hours the first time through.

Depends on how much money you have to burn and how much you want to just walk around and see it. THere was a lot there last year. I'm sure i didn't see quite everything. Lots of great demos and people to meet. I spent hours combing tthe used book booths compairing prices and looking for deals.

ENnies

Join us to celebrate the accomplishments of some of the best in the business in the Crowne Plaza Hotel’s Grand Hall Friday, August 20th at 9pm.

*Be sure to bring your Gen Con Indy badge, as it is your ticket into the awards ceremony!
