I love the internet...

Just think of how the dialup people feel (like myself) who are slower then the DSL people who can get the "cannot find server" page faster.. we have to wait longer to be let down....

If you makes you feel any better, it doesn't matter at this point whether you are on a dial-up or not. I'm on a T1, and I can't get the pages to respond. The bottleneck is at the GenCon LLC servers.

Well, the site seems to have crashed...I hope some of you get the events you want. I have to leave for an out of town job in 45 minutes and won't be able to access the net until noon tomorrow. SO....the likelihood of my getting the events I want at my first GenCon are pretty nil.

Misery enjoys company, if thats the case glad to know others are frustrated as I am trying to register. Last year at midnight it took like three hours with the crush to get anything. This year I am not sure but man does it stink the servers can't handle the traffic.

You know what is better than that? The traffic that the site is contending with is only the select few who:

1. Are trying to register on the VERY first day
2. Have a job at which they can surf the internet and get away with it

Wait until the "after work" hours or the "after school" hours...that should be fun...

You know...if I had known that GenCon LLC was going to have this much trouble with the website again, I would have offered my servers here at work....we handle the daily production data for several large telecom companies.

Since I'm one of the 2 people with access to the firewall, I think I'm fairly safe.
