Ever Use Star Wars Minis for D&D?

I was making out an order of D&D mini singles and on a whim decided to take a look at the Star Wars singles. There are several (all without guns) that I am thinking about picking up to use in D&D.

Anyone else do this? I'm thinking specifically about the following minis from the Rebel Storm set:

Commons:
Twi'lek Scoundrel - looks like a rogue to me
Tusken Raider - might be a little TOO recognizable

Uncommons:
Royal Guard - not sure what I'd use it for but it looks cool
Gamorrean Guard - looks orcish

Anyway, thats just at a quick glance. There are probably some other ones that would be useful too.

Nope, the Star Wars look is too iconic. It would distract too much.

I've used a lot of miniatures from all kinds of other sources though. I use a lot of the new D&D minis, the old D&D minis, Reaper minis, Warmachine minis, Games Workshop minis, and even toys when I can, though.

Since I've used buttons, nickels, scraps of paper etc for representations at one time or another, I can't complain about using SW minis.

I've considered buying the SW minis (might have gotten in big if the RPG were going strong) for D20 Future games, but I agree that the look is pretty iconic and difficult to see past.

I bought three or four C3P0 figurines - not "miniatures" in the truest AD&D sense, but rather "collectibles" ranging from 2 1/4 to about 3 inches tall. Running Monte Cook's Banewarrens soon, and I needed some iron golems and a construct. Distracting ? Perhaps, until it starts beating on them.

The first one to say "If any of my gears or circuits could be of use I'll gladly donate them" loses 200 EP.

I won a Clone Strike starter set as a door prize as a gaming con, and while I play the Star Wars RPG, my current campaign is D&D so I tried to find some use for some of them in that.

The fixed Obi-Wan Kenobi I thought made a pretty decent soulknives (robe wearing guys with glowing energy blades coming out of their hands?). My players already likened a soulknives blade to a lightsaber, so it wasn't too much of a shock. It might also work for a psychic warrior with a Brilliant Energy weapon.

A Weequay Mercenary made a very nice desert nomad warrior, humanoid with dark skin and a topknot clad in earth-tone desert type garb clutching a knife above.

The Super Battle Droid would probably make a good Warforged, but I don't particularly like Warforged and I'm not running Eberron, so it's not used but I can see a use for it.
