Supposedly it comes out this year, but knowing computer games probably not. Still there seems to be surprisingly little info out about this, a couple videos, a small faq, a few screens and that's it. Am I blind and just not seeing the info, is it not there, too early Sony keeping a lid on it so they don't harm everquest expansion business?

Thye've had a lot of experience at this mmorpg stuff, maybe 2 can rock and I want some info.

actually, Sony has been very good about getting their expansions out on time. If they follow their previous history on release dates, it'll be out sometime in Q4 of this year.. probably in late November/Early December.

In which case where is all the info on it. I'm used to following games I have an interest in at least a year in advance, and there is very little info out for everquest2 and there's what 6-8 months left.

On Time

Heya:

SoE is good at getting the expansions out on time, just not so good at having the expansions actually "done" when released. I don't currently play EQ (quit at the beginning of Luclin), but from what former guildmates have said and some websites, the "endgame" zone for Planes of Power is The Plane of Time. SoE is doing everything in their power to ensure players can't get into it anytime soon. Because it ain't done.

There does seem to be a lack of solid info on EQ2, however I have read that it'll have the dreaded "item decay". People claim that this is needed to have a viable economy, but I just don't see it. It seems like an anti-fun choice and is a dealbreaker for me when it comes to EQ2. I'd hope WoW wouldn't have it, but then a _major_ component of Diablo has been repairing your darn stuff. Darnit. ;)

Take care,
Dreeble
