Curse of Strahd was my introduction into DnD 5e and Dnd, in general, I fell in love with Ravenloft back then this is one of the coolest things I can imagine. The Adventure might not be needed but I welcome it for more setting material and Dark gifts I want to offer players to gain power by falling to darkness but in doing so fail to achieve a truly good ending the tools of evil can never be truly used for good power is corruption and corruption is power.

I like a lot of this. Quite a bit.

I will be interested in seeing if the feedback from the UA will be applied in any way. Seems like a pretty short lead time?
