Thank god! Now I can finally cater to the players that always wanted to RP in Minneapolis. Hoepfully, they'll come out with a Des Moines expansion soon.

VtM started with another Midwestern Rust Belt town as its sample city -- I can't remember whether it was Flint or Gary or what at the moment -- but this is really just a hearkening back to the Atlanta-based White Wolf's strange fascination with the Midwest, IMO.

And as I read it, most of the world is infected by weirdness now, it's just only obvious around Minneapolis.

I must be dense but the ad copy didnt make a lot of sense to me.

How is it a secret that something is going on? I mean, a city was blown up by a supernatural force. Within a few weeks, 1 million people are acting wierd. Suddenly, people are morphing into werewolves, demons, mages, and vampires. I don't see how the govt or whoever keeps that quiet. I mean, look at all the media coverage after some of the school shootings in the world, how do you keep a city being destroyed and its aftermath quiet?

Second, what is theme of play? Are the Awakened fighting the Shadow Cultures? Are they fighting together against the Iconnu? Seems sorta confusing to me.

I think the idea is:

Big explosion killing 1 million minneapolitans: Not Secret.

Vampires, Werewolves, etc., going around killing a subset of the remaining world's population: Secret.

Inconnu masterminding this to bring about the end of the world: Really Secret (for instance, I would assume that the "bad guy" Mages don't know about this one).

Yeah my guess is they know about the big stuff, but most assume it was something else.. Terrorists probably.

When your character walks in talking about the evil overloards out to get you. people wonder where you left your meds...
