Alrighty. Let's see who we can conjure up. :D

Anyone out there following along at home, we are looking to recruit up to three new players. You will be playing passengers or crew of Ark 42. See the first post in this thread for character creation details.

Unlike the first batch of players, you will be creating full 1st level characters.

I have been skimming through this for an hour. I am in if you'll have me. I am still learning 5th Ed, but I can come with something soon.

I take I will not need to read the IC thread, yeah?
 



How are we handling the archaic weapon and armor proficiencies at first level? With a modern flavor it would be kinda weird to be proficient in bows and swords.
 

Like the semi-non-magical class abilities (like Juno's preternatural knowledge of the ship in Shayuri's most recent post), the weapon proficiencies come to the characters sort of instinctually after a certain event takes place (being vague to avoid spoilers). Plus, depending on the character's background, they could have had them already anyway (martial arts training or even SCA membership).
 



1. So what might be a better scientist fit: Astronomer/astrophysicist or Xenobiologist?

2. Is Arcana a viable skill choice at this point?

3. For language choices, should we use normal human languages?
