Exotic Weapon Master errata?

One of the abilities for this class from Complete Warrior is Uncanny Blow. THis allows a weapon in two hands to get double the strength bonus instead of x1.5 and also allows the Power Attack feat to behave as if it was a two handed weapon. THe thing is the Power attack feat by itself does that. Is there errata on this, I'm thinking it should be x3 for power attack or something like that to make it better then power attack by itself.

However, in terms of balance, should only one level of EWM grant double Strength bonus to damage AND (or should that read 'OR' given that each ability only works when wielding the weapon in different ways?) an improved Power Attack?

I think not... But YMMV.

Actually, ignoring the second bit means you're not getting an improved Power Attack. You're just getting the x2 on Str instead of x1.5.

Maybe I'm confused ...

The ability changes your Strength multiplier from 1.5 to 2.0 when the weapon is used in both hands. Additionally, it says you can Power Attack at 2-for-1.

I said the second part - you can Power Attack 2-for-1 - is ignored because you can do that anyway. You can still do it, of course, you just don't need this particular bit of rules to tell you you can.

So, does this ability do absolutely nothing for someone wielding a two-handed exotic melee weapon?

There seems to very little in this class for someone wielding a two-handed exotic melee weapon.

I suspect that it may have meant that you can do a 2 for 1 power attack when wielding the weapon in one hand, but that's just a guess. It's obviously not what they wrote.

Well, that would mean that UB gives you the same benefit, with a one-handed weapon, of the Supreme Power Attack feature of the Frenzied Berserker.
