Expanded Oriental Adventures

I'd like to see something like this, especially if it incorporated regional flavour and feats, as well as the excellent Mahasarpa setting from the web enhancement. Ideally, it would be portable to Greyhawk, the Realms or Eberron - ie. it would not be tied to any one "occidental" setting but would contain details on how to link it to the published settings.

The Oriental Adventures Conversion was in Dragon 318 (Ninjas, Pirates, Dinosaurs), the Regional Feats for Kara-Tur appeared in Dragon 315 (Campaign Classic).

I would certainly appreciate a revised Version of Oriental Adventures, cleansed of all Rokugan related Material. While I don't actually dislike Rokugan, it was quite annoying to find Rokugan related Material even in the general Chapters. It would also be nice if they added some Psionic Content.

Now I'm really pushing it, but a chapter on Wuxia or Anime style role playing with suggested starting levels, bonus feats, gestalt character options etc... would definatly get me to buy a copy.

But how else are you going to "immerse" yourself in your region?

I'd do it some other way than by creating exclusive "better" feats.

(To be exact, I'd probably use backgrounds of the sort in the Second World Sourcebook. But I realize that's an open content solution and much to niggly for WotC's taste, but that's how I'd do it.)

Hi,

As a big fan of 1st Edition Oriental Adventures and Kara-Tur, I would love to see this.

And they should do a 3.5 Arabian Adventures book too, set in Zakhara.

Cheers

Is Dragonfist still available on WotC site? It was an odd 2nd ed variant they had up for download for a while. It was very wuxia-y, and covered levels 1-10. I remember thinking the rules were a bit odd, but it reminded me why I always preferred Chinese-based Oriental campaigns to Japanese. Also, I'd like to see ancient/medieval India get its own supplement, rather than getting crammed in with the far east.

Have you checked out the Mahasarpa web enhancement for Oriental Adventures? It's not exactly a full supplement, but has plenty of cool ideas inspired by ancient Indian myth.
