Expanded PsiHB Excerpts

I see quotation marks. What's the source? If this is designer, I need to go yell at him :)

The designers don't need to be getting "original" with core mechanics like BAB. It muddles things up, and they should know that. Even the 3.5e monk was tweaked for consistency in determining attacks per round.
I think Gez was making a joke... at least, I hope he was. I agree with you totally about not mucking with BAB.

Oh, and my bad about Githzerai being Dex +6... I forgot totally about them being that way in 3.0. I will now beat myself in shame. :)

I noticed that Erudite wasn't listed in the classes; is that a Dragon-mag only supplemental psi-class?

I'm also curious to see if all of the listed classes are full base classes, or if some of those are prestige.

The Rudey is in fact, a Dragon-only class.

And I think the Char-Sheet page lists all the base classes (including all the Psionic Specialists).

Felon, this was paraphrasing the comment of the Sword & Fist designer when they forgot to give halfling outrider a BAB. He tried to cover their mistake by fibbing, which was later revealed by WotC when they corrected the mistake. It was an embarrassing situation.

It's quite possible that the BAB error is a transcription error to the Web page; I've seen enough divergences between web previews and printed copy from Wizards to not be concerned about that yet.

Cheers!

Obviously the people that were trying to breed these half giants were pretty stupid... they could have gotten the same strength and stupidity out of a half orc without them gaining "psionic" abilities.

Seriously... they seem so wrong...

Thanks for the links, Eric.

I just started reading through the Soulknife, specifically the Psychic Strike entry. Anybody have any idea if "imbuing" the mind blade with a Move Action induces an AoO? or not? The ability doesn't seem to be clear (of course, it could be there and I'm just blind, wouldn't be the first time! :p )

Thanks.

If it is, they made the same error in the text as well as the table, and with words, not just numbers.

Soulknife Web Preview said:
Multiple Throw (Ex): At 17th level and higher, a soulknife can throw a number of mind blades per round equal to the number of melee attacks he could make. Thus, a 17th-level soulknife could throw two mind blades, with a base attack bonus of +12/+7. If he had used shape mind blade to materialize a mind blade for each hand and thus fight with two weapons, he could throw four mind blades in a round.
