Expanded Psionics Handbook - Where is psionic displacement explained?

I recently purchased the Expanded Psionics Handbook. In the entry for Thri-kreen, it mentions their psi-like abilities and one of those listed is "psionic displacement". I've paged thru the book, but I have not been able to locate where this ability is detailed. It doesn't appear in the obvious place with other psionic abilities, at least not alphabetically as either "psionic displacement" or "displacement, psionic". The book has an annoying tendency to list some abilities normally, and other abilities with the comma style last name first, but that doesn't seem to be the problem here.

Can someone help me locate this info in the book?

I sent the same question to WotC, but haven't gotten a response yet. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a typo or if it got left out accidentally.

It's not on my XPH powers spreadsheet so I guess that means it's not in the book. So you could replace it with, say, Concealing Amorpha (basically the same idea), or you could just say it's a psionic version of the PHB displacement spell.

It's probably a misprint, seeing as the monster section in the back gives them greater concealing amorpha. But also see the "Psionic Spells" section on page 184.

As Eric suggests, I'd use greater concealing amorpha -- it has the same effect. And really, what's cooler than a thri kreen emerging from what is essentially a giant egg sac? :D

BTW is anyone else having problems with the word amorpha? I keep reading it as amphora, which is ... some kind of jar? lemme google that...

google definition

I read it that way the first dozen times too... I couldn't get my head around a power to hide yourself in a jar :)

As opposed to hiding yourself in some kind of plant? (which is the only online definition I could find for amorpha).

Are there any indications of what a thri-kreen without psionic ability would be like? I like the thri-kreen... but don't like psionics. Flipping through XPH, it looks like they don't list a nonpsionic option. THoughts?

Will: Check out Savage Species. I'm not sure how much Thri-Kreen changed between there and the XPH, but IIRC there is a setup for being a non-psionic Thrikreen (you lose the powers and have a lower ECL).
