Expedition to Castle Ravenloft: Strahd’s new look… [Guessing at Spoilers]

Strahd's condition...

Belmonts in Ravenloft are what good dreams are made of.

Good, Baaaaad dreams. Muahahahahahaha.

You might be into something regarding what they are thinking, but I hope not. I'd rather they didnt rewrite the characers history, as its really very good. The book I, Strahd, is my favorite D&D inspired novel ever.

I prefer Clyde's original.

Sunken-cheek Strahd = Ugh.

Cheers,
Cam
Caldwell´s a swell artist, but there´s a reason Strahd says "I am the Ancient, I am the Land" and Tatyana called him "Old One" or "Elder", as he was past his prime, having spent it fighting to liberate Barovia.

The best depiction of Strahd is the black-and-white picture in the original Black Box, by Stephen Fabian.

I guess that depends on how much of the original they use, too.

Hopefully very little. The original had too much dumb humor and pointless fights with "spoooooky" monsters. Whee, d6 flesh golems as a wandering encounter, or whatever to collect the widgets to kill the big boss. And people say games now are video-gamey.

Don't you know that becoming a vampire makes you timelessly handsome? :)

Besides, Tatyana was just hiding her true feelings from Strahd. I'm sure.

I only hope it won't resemble Heart of Nightfang Spire... in any way.

Is it that bad? I've got it on my shelf and have been thinking about using it as a side adventure. Should I burn it, instead?

If you do intend to run it, take away at least a couple of levels, trade in the girallons for some Medium-size critter (say, Skum or Trogs, or even humans) and...

... aw, heck, just don´t run it!
