Maybe I don't understand the extraplanar subtype, but on looking through EttDP I wondered, shouldn't the demons in the Abyss have the native subtype, since they are effectively on their home plane?

It looks like they all have the extraplanar subtype.

It looks like they all have the extraplanar subtype.

They wouldn't have the native subtype, that's specific to Outsiders that are native to the Prime Material plane, if I remember correctly.

But they should lose the Extraplanar subtype if they are currently on their home plane, likewise the PC's would gain the Extraplanar subtype whenever they leave their Prime Material plane.

Perhaps the demons in question are not native to that particular layer of the Abyss.
