Expertise and Fighting Defensively

Can you both use Expertise and Fight Defensively at the same time. Example: My 10th level rogue with Expertise and 5 ranks in Tumble uses Expertise (-5 to attack and +5 to AC) and fights defensively (-4 to attack and +3 to AC) for a total of -9 to attack and +8 to AC. He could only do this while using a full attack action though.

You can use Expertise and fight defensively at the same time. You don't need a full attack action to do it either.

And if you are a Duelist you'll gain a nice +7 or more additional dodge bonus to AC.

That is rather nice and IMO a little too good function of that class. Luckily, the few duelists I've seen never took advanatge of that.
