Turning to watch Lokin and Zurd run after the orcs, Payne sighs. Why is it always a game of cat and mouse? Why must they constantly chase their foe from room to room? ``I am so sick of running after my enemy! When will they leave their cowardice behind and fight toe to toe?!`` Yelling, because at this point.. she didn't feel the need to be quiet. She then moves, her thirty foot distance, and stops to watch the hilarity ensue.

Everybody moves up to the door. I'm assuming Kol and Kyle go along too -- let me know if they would have moved any differently. The door is slammed but not locked; it will take a move action to open it.

A color spray spell requires a standard action to cast. On any round on which Zurd casts it, he can only take one move action.

Lokin will hand his torch to Kongu, Payne, or Kyle if they are willing to take it (move-equiv. action). He will grab the door and pull it open, allowing Zurd to cast away if appropriate (move-equiv. action). As soon as the door clears his body, he will step into the doorway to defend against any attackers (5' step). If one of his companions will not take the torch or delay to take it, he will drop it on the floor, hoping it stays lit and proceed with the same actions already mentioned.
 


The door opens. This is the way you came in, so there is nothing unfamiliar about it. Ahead, you see a corridor 5' wide and 30' long. At the end of the hall is a single door to the right, through which you had passed when the orc-chief led you to the room of pools. The first orc is opening that door.
 



Kol fires an arrow; it goes wide.

Kongu stays behind the front lines for now.

Payne... ?

Kyle rushes past the others toward the orcs, speaking Common but not attacking.

I'll post the orcs' actions after Payne's had a chance.

Payne chooses to remain behind the line at the doorway. The lead orc then opens the door, all three rush through, and it is slammed shut.

Your turn, everyone...
 

Zurd, holding the torch now, hopes his possession of the light source will motivate his comrades on.

Well, lets get them!

Zurd rushes forward to the next door - (he opens it if Lokin did not) and looks though.

If Lokin has already opened the door, he will rush through with Kurg at his side and look around for the prey.
