Exploring the Hase-Suna Complex (Manzanita judging) [Concluded]

The orc does not heed Lokin, who follows him through the secret door into another corridor leading straight ahead. Lokin recognizes it as the same hallway where you killed the orc chieftain -- only you've now entered it from the other side, through a secret door where you thought there was a dead end. The door you came through when going to and from the room of pools is on the right, just ahead; there's another door on the left. All three orcs are running through the corridor, although spaced apart. You know, since you've been here before, that it leads to the entrance, and to most of the parts of the complex you've explored already.

(Map to follow in another post -- I need to figure out scale.)

Kol is down, Kongu is attending to him. Kyle, as best as his dwarven legs can manage, follows Lokin into the hallway. What do Zurd and Payne do? I'll NPC them if they don't post soon, since I know they've both been very irregular as of late.

Icy pools burned with anger as she shot Zurd a look regarding the fallen Kol. She had witnessed the lightshow and its results. Gloved hand rested on the cool hilt of her dagger as she guided her lithesome form with catlike grace to Kongu and Kol. Carefully keeping the half-orc in her sight.''Is he alright?'' she asked trying to mask her concern with a stoic tone.

Looking at Payne and rolling his eyes...

He's fine other than being pissed when he wakes up, he'll be no worse for the wear.

Zurd pulls out a short length of rope and binds the young orcs hands behind his back, then tears a piece of the younglings shirt off to make a bandage for the stirge wound.

(OOC: Guess you make the USE rope check as I won't know the result)

Then standing up...we have a couple more to catch yet.

You'll have to catch him first. How do you intend to do that? Are you running after him?

No its like saying...hey we got some things to take care of after one finishes a task.

Zurd just stands there waiting for Kol to wake up...

Sorry for the delay -- I thought I had already posted this, and was waiting.

Lokin and Kyle are following the orcs; Zurd, Payne and Kongu are around Kol.

The orcs keep running. Neither Lokin, with his armour, nor Kyle, with his short legs, are likely to catch up. The littlest orc (closest to you) runs at about your speed; the others are only increasing the distance.

As you chase, a stirge flies back along the hall toward the room.

Lokin, realizing he is making no ground on the fleeing orcs, stops running with a sigh. He heads back towards his companions to check on the current situation.

As does Kyle, following his lead. When they return, they find Kol making moving his head slightly, clearly still alive, athough still supine.

[sblock=Kol]You've regained consciousness, although you're still stunned and blinded.[/sblock]

``I'll keep that in mind the next time you are in my way, Zurd. Guess I wasn't clear on our group dynamics, but if taking out comrades in 'friendly fire' is how we go about doing things...then count me in.`` All this said with her head cocked as she watches Kol slowly come to, taking his hand with her own gloved one. ``Damnit Kol, try harder to stay out of the way of other's spells .. will you?``

Lokin returns to the room, slightly out of breath.

"Fast little monsters, those orcs. Suits of mail and fast pursuit do not mix, I can tell you that."

The fighter looks at the party. He heads over to Kol and offers him a hand to help him stand.

"I doubt they'll cause much trouble. They're in more danger being off on their own than we are, I imagine. As long as everyone here is okay, I think we're in okay shape."

Lokin seems to be ignoring the topic of why or how Kol was knocked out, preferring to move forward.
