Kongu brightens up. "He's coming to! Kol, are you hurt?"

Kol's eyes finally readjust, and he can see next round. The following round he overcomes the stunning effect.

Kol grunts in displeasure, "I do not appear injured. Last thing I remember was a dazzling multitude of colors, then blackness."

( Because it seems that characters are thoroughly tired of Zurd and Payne's disagreeing, I'm going to just make sure that everyone is still on board out of character. If you guys really are annoyed with it OOC - then I guess I'll have to leave the game. Can't make her like Zurd, would ruin the character, but I want people to enjoy themselves. So. Lemme know. )

With Lokin's help, Payne aids Kol in getting to his feet. ``Now what?``

(OOC: Personally, I enjoy the disagreement. I think we're still making it work and I think it's some good roleplaying all around.)

Lokin looks around.

"Well...I was losing that little orc, so I gave up the chase. But I think it makes sense to follow in that direction. Maybe the orcling knew where he was going and by heading in that direction, we can find where the other orcs are hiding. They must have hoarded Hase and Suna's treasure somewhere, right?"

Lokin walks over to Zurd and speaks quietly.

[sblock=Zurd]"You okay? I understand the tactical reasons for your spell, but it's hardly the best way to keep the peace within the party. Until we're done here, we have to count on each other."[/sblock]

There being no alternative ideas proposed, the group heads into that corridor. It is the one where, earlier, you fought and killed the orc chief. You realize, as you enter, that the secret door you are going through is disguised on both sides -- from the room, it was hidden behind a wooden panel, and from the corridor, it looked like a dead end last time you were in there.

There are two doors within view, one on each side. You know (because you've been there and back) that the one on the right leads, via a long winding passage, to the pools where you massacred the orc tribe. You have no idea what's behind the one on the left. Up ahead, you know the passage will lead back to where you came from, with another passage branching off to the right (that you also haven't explored).

Kongu remarks, "There are a lot of secret doors around here! We just went through three in a row, and wouldn't have known about any of them if the orcs hadn't been our unwitting guides. What do you suppose the builders wanted to keep hidden about this whole section of the complex?"

Lokin gestures toward the unchartered passage to the right.

"Let's head that way. We can figure our way around the entire complex and find everything obvious. We can always come back and explore more carefully later. I'm sure for every door we find, a few remain hidden."

Dusting her hands off on her pants, Payne looks in the direction Lokin motioned and then back to Kol,Zurd, and Kongu. ``Lead the way then, Lokin.`` Turning on the other three to follow the leader.

You all continue down a narrow (5') corridor branching off. After about 35' it widens to 10'; after a bit more you come to a crossroads, with a corridor to the left (leading back to the central hallway, where you have been before), wall with a door (unhidden, for a change!0 on the right, and another narrow passageway straight ahead.

Lokin pauses when he reaches the intersection. He looks back at Payne.

"I think this is your department. What do you think we should do? Check the door or continue forward? Either way, I think you should lead at this point."
