Catching a glimpse of Zurd pulling the dead mutt's head from the bag actually causes a shiver to claw its way up Payne's back. ``I thought I was playing the role of the dark and twisted one..`` Murmured under her breath as she heads out the door into the hall. ``Well, which way?``
 



I haven't awarded any XP since you reentered the dungeon; it'll be coming.

As for a map: here's a rough outline, not to scale, but shows the options for further exploration. I'll give you a more accurate map for wherever you end up deciding to go.

"Loose ends" that you have identified but not explored are:
(1) turning left at the end of the long entrance corridor (straight ahead takes you to the kitchen or the room with the centipede; right takes you to the room of pools)
(2) past the secret door to the room where you fought the zombies
(3) continue down the corridor where you had the big nearly-fatal battle against the lizardfolk
(4) turn right off that corridor, just beyond the centipede room
(5) two unexplored hallways and one door branching off the route you took to the pools
(6) back to the room with the pools, which you only partially explored
(7) the door at the end of the centipede room
 

ooc lets be systematic about it and clear out the southeast corner...Then the centipede door working our way up in a counter clockwise fashion?

I bet the Lizard folk were running back to thier tribe.

...perhaps almost as rewarding as good cold revenge...
 

Payne chuckles at Zurd's comment, and for once in a long time agrees. ``Nothing is sweeter than revenge, m'friend. Kol.. your idea is a sound one. Lead the way?`` Motioning in the direction he mentioned with a gloved hand.

I'm assuming that means "the lower right corner of the map I sketched"... since I never figured out what cardinal direction is where. You've been underground for about 18 hours at this point; the PCs probably aren't thinking about cardinal directions either.

You continue along the route to the room of the pools until you get to the fork where Grok took you to the left. At this point, there's also a short corridor to the right, but it leads to a dead end 5-10' in. You continue straight ahead. The corridor is still wide enough for two people abreast.

Just beyond the fork, there is a light on the wall, just below the ceiling, on the right side. It is not clear what the source of the illumination is.
