Exploring the Hase-Suna Complex (Manzanita judging) [Concluded]

Lot (Lokin) said:
"I'm often thinking about retreat, aren't I? Must not make me look too courageous, I suppose. I just like to be pragmatic about such things. Anyway, we should look for other doors like this one. It might be how our enemy is able to out-manuever us."

Kongu agrees. "Remember when the two lizardmen appeared behind us and attacked us? I now think I know how they did it."

The group goes on to the light. It seems to be just one of the stones in the wall. "This looks like the lights in the room with the pools," Kongu says.

bump!

I'll take the prolonged silence as indication that onbody has any further interest in the light.

You continue on down the hall. There are two more lights on the wall, both on the right side, both like the last, with no apparent light source. After about 70' the passage turns left and continues for another 120' or so. There are five more lights on the wall in this section, irregularly spaced, three on the right and two on the left.

Finally, the passage comes to a dead end. Just before the end there are two doors on the left, about 20' apart. They are the only ways out you've seen after the secret door to the entrance hall.

What now?

Kol inspects the stonework to see if the glowing stones are even worth trying to pry out. Then he motions to one of the two doors and cups his ear against the door against the other attempting to discern any noise from beyond.

OOC: Okay just trying to see if we can scarf a light source. I am assuming then these are big cinderblock stones and not cobblestone work then.

OOC2: Listen check Take 20. We should probably search for secret doors at the dead-end as well.

There doesn't seem to be any way to remove a lit stone unless you could hack out a fairly big chunk of wall.

When you get to the end of the hall, Payne, at Kol's request, inspects the cul-de-sac. She can find no evidence of secret egress. Kol meanwhile listens carefully at the first of the two doors. He hears nothing inside.

Having no interest in the lights, and not having found anything spectacular in the hall - Payne turns to look to the group. Shrugging with a bit of annoyance. Perhaps there was nothing left to the catacombs? She motions to the door on her right and nods to Kol to give the handle a try. No words are issued as the rogue is still attempting to remain quiet - just in case.

Lokin, seeing Payne gesture to Kol, moves into position next to him. He raises his shield and looks to Kol for a signal.
