Failed Campaigns

Multiple people have reassured me it's not my fault, it's just how online games run... but I have a terrible track record with online games, most of them lasting only a handful of sessions, or their equivalent in play-by-post games. My face-to-face games tend to work out a little better.

I spent most of a decade with the only kind of campaign I wanted to run was proto-shroompunk, with a random assemblage of mundane Earth people playing isekai in the literal, unscrubbed Mushroom Kingdom and playing out the rough plot of Super Mario Bros 3. I ran that in just about every halfway amenable system I owned, from Street Fighter and Shadowrun 4e to Pathfinder 1e and HARP.
