I increasingly think the 3rd DLC will be a Species of "book" given it has 7 species. Probably lore for those 7 species plus MoM species that aren't in the PHB. Maybe something on Spelljammer species too maybe.

Yeah, 7 Species is like 14 pages, max, and based on the description of the first two products these seem to be far more substantial.

Spelljammer or Kara-Tur feel the most likely to me, IMO. Particularly thinking about the firemen, providing updated Gith (both of em), Thri-kreen, etc. Just describing who already "canonically" lives in realmsapace...7, easy.

They don't need that. KotB takes place in Greyhawk, which they are continuing to use (as the 2024 DMG did) as their "sample" setting.

Most WotC adventures have alternative suggestions for locations. Someone may want to teach some people how to play, then continue the campaign in the Forgotten Realms.

Anyway, KotB started out setting agnostic, then moved to Mystara, and only moved to Greyhawk after that.
