How does niche preclude that it was not already submitted as part of other books?

Because it's stuff that clearly doesn't fit the style and nature of the books in question.

My guess is the 3rd “DLC” will be Lae’zel’s guide to Toril-Space, and feature updated gith stat blocks.

Would like personally: Rashemen and the East.

I’m not familiar with - maybe ‘cos I bounced off 4e? I’ll research it when I have chance.

Okay, looked it up. I would say it’s also too large and unfocused - not to mention too far from the familiar parts of FR with no obvious link. I think they are more likely to visit Aber proper. Although the main reason I think they will go to space is to get undated gith PCs into the game ASAP. People are still coming in to the game from BG3, and they will expect to be able to play as gith, without being directed to an obsolescent book.

But something focused on a Conanesque game is much needed. The Hordelands could offer that, but Minsc offers a link to Rashemen (which MotB made cool) and from there to the East.

They don't need that. KotB takes place in Greyhawk, which they are continuing to use (as the 2024 DMG did) as their "sample" setting.

I increasingly think the 3rd DLC will be a Species of "book" given it has 7 species. Probably lore for those 7 species plus MoM species that aren't in the PHB. Maybe something on Spelljammer species too maybe.
