Familiar/Special Mount?

Is there a feat or PrC that allows the merging of a multiclass Paladin/Sorcerer or Paladin/Wizard to apply Familiar and Mount progressions to the same creature? The way Devoted Tracker does for Paladin/Rangers or Arcane Hierophant's Companion Familiar does for Druid/Wizards?

Tricky, but I think we can nail it. What you're looking for is the Big Familiar feat from the Netbook of Feats; you'd need to take it twice for a Large creature(evidently the writers of the Netbook have some experience with us players abusing the system). Now, the problem is that the description specifies the familiar-to-be must have the Animal or Vermin type before commencing the ritual, but the Paladin's entry does not say your mount could not have become a Magical Beast before you got it. As far as I know, the SRD does not state where these Mounts come from either. Since they aren't Outsiders, you can safely assume they are but ascended mortal steeds, regardless of where they come from; it's well known the Outer Planes, Celestia incuded, houses mortal beings along with petitioners and Archons.

So you need to get the feat first, buy a horse, bind it to you for the price of two feats, then specify it as your Special Mount. How's this? Worth it?

start with 5 levels of paladin to get a special mount.

then take 5 levels of wizard using the 5th-level high one warrior wizard substitution levels from the champions of valor web enhancement. that will get you an ability called Familiar Mount, which lets you make your special mount also be your familiar.

next available feat slot, take theurgic mount, which is a dragon 325 feat that lets you add your arcane levels to determine your effective paladin level for the mount bonus.

If you're going with Niji's recommendation I'd like to add you should look at Sword of the Arcane Order. Wizard spells are very, very tasty. Depending on how you interpret Battle Blessing you could make the wizard spells prepped in your paladin slots swift actions. Swift True Strike, anyone?

I've got Champions of Valor, what page, I can't seem to find "Familiar Mount"?
