I'm a big fan of Mad God's Key. I ran it, modified, as the first adventure for an Eberron detective-themed game and it worked perfectly. Some mystery, a lot of violence, and interesting characters to interact with.

Demiurge out.

The Shattered Circle is a very cool module. It reminds me in some ways of The Sunless Citadel, but that's probably because they have the same author. I think the Shattered Circle is better - it has atmosphere in spades. And dinosaurs. And very memorable NPCs. It can get pretty tough for low-level PCs, though.

Ahhhh yes, The Shattered Circle and its chitines...the strongest reason I had for picking up Monsters of Faerun.

I'm also quite fond of Mad God's Key. I also enjoy The Doom of Daggerdale, only weak point is the intro, better to tailor a more fitting intro.

Any idea of which issues of Dungeon those are in? I like the other choices.

My favorites:
Village of Hommlett (1E)
Treasure Hunt (1E)
Crucible of Freya (Necromancer Games)
The Forest Oracle (1E)
The Sinister Secret of Saltmarsh (1E)
Eye of the Wyvern (easy-play adventure from pre-3E days)

Isn't the first Freeport for 1st level characters? I heard it's very good.

Me, I prefer to start at 2nd level. :)

Bye

From Dungeon I've used Evil Unearthed by Jeff Grubb from the first 3e issue (#83?? ) can't remember at the moment, but that is good for 1st level characters.
