Favorite D&D Class?

Paladin. It's a hard roleplaying challenge to be the stand-up guy in a group full of Chaotic Neutral cutthroats.

I have always liked clerics, rangers, paladins. I have an attraction to multiclassing across the editions as well.

1e and 2e, Paladin.

3e - Binder

4e - Warlord.

And, by far, I've liked the Warlord the most.

It's a cheat, but fighter/thief in 1e was a blast and my PC playing so (though that was an awesome group)

Illusionist, back when they were their own class. Runner up are druids, ideally in their 1st or 2nd ed incarnations.

I mostly GM. The last D&D character I played for any length of time was a Skills & Powers cleric, with lots of fighter options, so really pretty analogous to a paladin. If I were to play that character in 4e he would be a paladin with a dash of warlord.

Bards, all day every day (except in 3.0/3.5 - Pathfinder did right by them, though).

Warlocks in 3e and 4e.

Multi-classed anything.

MUs/Wizards/Mages.

Clerics or Druids are a close second.

If I'm gonna imagine a fictional character in a fantasy world, I wanna be throwin' around spells.
