Lost Empires

There was just something about Lost Empires I really liked. Silver Marches was very good... I wish that one was hard cover.

Darn straight, wish they'd followed more to form there. A solid regional book for running campaigns with and my fav.

One of my favorite pieces of cover art and also my second choice would have to be UE.

Yes, UA was also pretty good. Not what I expected, but they had to work with 5 different nations so it wouldn't be no Silver Marches...they could've always upped the page count though. Eh.

Unfortunately, we'll never see books like that if people continue to purchase Mysteries of the Moonsea. If sales on that piece do well, we can kiss regional books goodbye.

The Underdark and Unapproachable East are two source books which are amazing in their quality. I really enjoyed them both, and UE gets a re-through now and again :)

On another note, I really hope that they'll do the Dalelands sometimes soon. That's a long time coming, that one ;)
I'll say. You know how many adventures I've run in the Dalelands?!?!

I don't play or run games in the Forgotten Realms, so my choice is Serpent Kingdoms - I love me some pulpy lizard- and snake-men, so it's effectively a good sourcebook on the topic.

*rolls a d6* -- 2?

:D

Seriously though, I am now getting into the habit of starting my games in here. While the FRCS book does an admirale job with some basic details - they are simply basic. I'd love some core NPCs for each Dale to be statted up, more adventure sites, more plots, more info. I can't beleive such a core area has been left so high & dry thusfar.

Should have rolled 2d20.

I do like the info on Ashabenford. I wish that amount of detail applied to all the Dalelands.

My favorite isn't on the list because it is 2nd AD&D. My favorite FR region source book is Old Empires (snip)

Actually that was 1E... and also the product the introduced me to the Realms.

My favourite is Unapproachable East (although I'm also really fond of Silver Marches). It's a great sourcebook set in an area that is relatively undamaged by novels.
