So far: I'm surprised by the support for Gimble and Tordek (though I never saw the maw-of-the-dragon pic, so I guess I might be missing something).

I'm not the least bit surprised by the Lidda love or apparent Soveliss hate.

For the record: That PHBII Shifter Vadania pic doesn't exist to me. Ugh. But why did I vote for her, when Lidda is around to compete?

Every time I see the Vadania pic in the PHB, I want to play a druid. I can't really put my finger on it, but it's more or less the only picture that does that to me, and it keeps doing it. I'm all "Huh, what does the barbarian get this level agai--hmmm, I should play a druid... No! Not the time for this! Must look up barbarians!"

Ember, barely beating out Lidda and Krusk. Ember is just about the only love monks got in 3.x.

Unfortunately, Ember has been plagued by some really unfortunate art.

Lidda, on the other hand, has the famous "exploding cigar" picture from the PHB.

Huh. I never thought about it, but going through that list I realized that I like about half of them, but none of them more than the others. In a close race between Lidda, Redgar, and Gimble ... I chose Gimble.

I've been a Lidda fan since 3.0 was just a bunch of rumors on Eric's website. Not only is she more interesting than the others, she's cute, to boot (or hawt, if you count Claudio's version of her...).

Chalk me up as another Gimble fan. I love Gnomes (have a Gnome Beguiler in one campaign that I've been having loads of fun playing), and he's just... cool. Sort of roguish medieval rock star type.

I don't love gnomes, but the black and white pics of Nebin from Tome and Blood by Wayne Reynolds (especially page 6) has always conveyed this same 'rock star' mentality to me.

I'm surprised and pleased by all the Gimble love. I'm the proud owner of Wayne Reynolds' original painting from the PHB. Initially I was bit miffed by the inexplicable 3.5 conversion of gnomes to bard masters, but Gimble conviced me.

Now, at one point there was a concept pic of the PHB gnome that never got used. This pic displayed the gnome as a tinker of sorts. Does anyone have a link to that?
