Naull, the iconic Wizard (Evoker, IIRC) from p 110, was left out. She's my favorite!

So I voted for Kerwyn instead. He looks like a friend of mine, so it's totally biased.

I'm a racist, I guess, I like the human iconics better than those underdressed elven wizards (here's a hint Mialee, your Con score is two less than Naull's, try wearing something warmer!) and toddling haffer rogues (I don't need no stinking -2 Str and 3/4 Carrying Capacity when I'm stealing loot, and a 20' ground speed does not lend itself to a fast getaway!)!

I'm also a big fan of Ember and Hennet and Regdar and Vadania (yeah, she's not all human, but she's fine, and that enormous dog of hers will eat my face if I don't give her a pass!).

Gimble has some great art, but I loathe him.

Alhandra and Soveliss are pretty dull looking in the PHB (seriously, a Paladin wearing a tiny scrap of armor? She should be packing!), but Claudio manages to make them both look pretty bad@$$. He draws a mean Regdar, and a pretty solid-looking Hennet, too!

Eep, sorry!

I feel the same way, actually. This picture helped, but even with the crappy shapeshift pic, Vadania still beat him for good pictures in the PHBII.

Agreed. She should be fantasy-style Samus, dangit!

My words were crude and i should not have have stated them the way I did. <snip>

anyway sorry for jacking the thread. I was out of place.
I just want to commend you, Moon-Lancer, for apologizing and taking responsibility instead of retaliating. That was damned nice of you. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, but it was a stand-up response.

\cool eyes on your avatar.

I need to say that a D&D version of Samus would be many, many degrees of awesome. :D

I do agree that Alhandra's armor is a bit silly-looking, although at least it's (slightly) better than bikini armor.

Peace & Luv, Liz

Lidda

Because it is the only character that is more or less decently drawn, quite nicely in fact, and that has a tiny bit of "life" in it. Looking at the pictures with Lidda one would perhaps choose to play a thief instead of another class. Gimble is a close second though he already lacks any kind of life.

The rest of the iconics are bland and boring.

No love for Aramil huh? I'm not surprised since he'd been largely ignored, only really appearing in the D&D Basic Set.

Iconic Male Elven Wizard

Of the choices given, I had to go with Regdar. Don't know why, but he has always appealed to me.

hay Klaus, that Soveliss is bitching. Good choice to drop the goofy helmit. He actually looks imposing now.

I think the link shows though that no matter what, Mialee looks bad. It mostly comes down to her choice of clothes though.
