Favorite Setting of All Time?

Well, that last setting poll was kinda lame (although not as lame as the favorite color poll ), so I'm doing a similar one. Only this time, what setting is your favorite of all time, not what you're playing now?

I think I have most of the major ones down - I really hope I didn't forget any, but since I'm sure I did, just select other, and post about it down here

Oh, and I know many people prefer their homebrew settings, but what I'm only interested in is favorite official settings.

I love a lot of the other ones too. Ravenloft, Planescape and Forgotten Realms have provided a lot of material that I've adapted to my GH game over the years. Mystara, Dark Sun, Birthright, and Scarred Lands as well, though to a lesser extent. I haven't gotten around to looking at Kalamar much, And Spelljammer and Dragonlance just didn't catch my interest.

The smaller settings, places like Daemonforge and Dusk have been big sources of inspiration and ideas too, these treasures of the internet can't be overlooked, and lastly there's what I call setting plug-ins, things like Bluffside and Freeport that you can drop into whatever world you want. These things make running an underdeveloped world like GH a lot easier.

Now, of the ones you listed, Birthright... But, IMHO, the game made the whole Birthright experience as much as the setting... I'm not sure how running just an out-of-the-book 3E game in the Birthright setting would actualy be.

Dark sun kick ass !!

Dark sun is the one that do it for me. powerfull characters and lots of flavor, the races are similar but with a twist. The roleplaying is fantastic and I think what they are doing at http://athas.org/ will be great for the 3E.
