Favourite "Post-Human" PC Race?

I have to go with 4) prestige races from Oathbound. Though the advanced beings from Dark Sun are also cool.

Alas, I did. The transformation is magical, instead of psionic.

I voted Elan and I do use the revised Psionics system.

I wanted to play an Elan where he was an evil guy who was forced to undergo the change (I know, it would be hard to muster what with Elan's being chosen) and the 'replaced' part of him was good, so there'd always be an internal conflict, an the occasional "bad boy" behavior.. (i.e. rather than subdue the bad guy breaking into your room, you throw him out the window after he's K.O.ed.. or rather than just beat up the thugs trying to rob you, you in-turn steal all of their stuff and leave them hog-tied and naked, ect).

I think it's a great race, but I almost always pick human anyway. I can never seem to get enough feats....

The list could go on, but "post-human" in this regards generally meant formally human but altered through some method of their own means. Thus other racial-blooded or influenced such as Kalashtar and Gith races weren't included (though might be for another poll). And inexplicably human-like races like Maenads weren't included too.

I chose Elan because I like psionics and the fact that they're abberrations is good for those occasional "Geez ... you really AREN'T human, are you?" moments (such as when someone casts Hold Person and things like that)
