Favourite race/class combo

My only two 3e PCs so far (in 2e elf cleric was my staple):

Ilmara - Wood Elf Ranger/Priest (still have a soft spot for elves).
Sootica - Gnome rogue/wizard/arcane trickster. Would have been a female dwarf fighter but someone beat me to it.

What about a LG (human) fighter/cleric that purposely decided not to be a paladin? That would be an interesting one to find a niche for.

My favorite classes span the boards, but the ones I mostly play are spellcasters of some sort.

Toppsy- Human Necro13/Clr of Death 5: I've been playin this guy for ever, but he's a great character.

Ardor ab Funestare- Human Necro 5: Hey, necros are cool.

Rodgar- Dwarver Wiz5/Drd1: A wisdom of 10 wont stop me from taking the druid class; even if I can only cast Orisons.

Taric- Human Sor1/Ftr3: New character for me...I'm looking towords the duelest PrC. (No armor, High int & dex, spells: True Strike and Mage Armor :D)

I really like elf fighter/rogues. I played an elf fighter/thief acrobat in 1E, an elf fighter/rogue in 2E and now an elf fighter/rogue in 3E. I've played other characters in all editions, but the elf fighter/rogue-types have always been my favorites.

I like the idea of Halfling or Gnome sorcerers, but I've never actually played one. I generally take humans for the extra feat and skill points. I usually can't get a character to fit my concept without 'em.

Human Rouge

Most flexible combo to create a "Clever Hero," someone who uses either his wits or dexterity to get the job done vs. brute strength or supernatural abilities.

Definetly Elf Cleric or Druid. Always loved elves, most of the time played spellcasters, more often healers than not.

At the moment I have Wood Elf Druid/Ranger and Moon Elf Cleric

I'm fond of things that get me out of wearing armor.

I just can't stand a character that wears armor.

So for the 'fighter type' my current character is a human Archer / Noble. Classes from Sovereign Stone. Noble's get to add their CHA bonus to AC like a Monk does with Wisdom. The Archer half puts me at a distance since I tend to feel anyone who engages the enemy up close is an idiot, was unprepared or had poor recon (which is all kind of the same thing). :D

Another combination I'm considering if the group ever uses FR again is an elven monk / Druid of Miliki. Which of course requires an alignment change at level 2. Again gets me out of armor and let me use the weapons I think a Druid would logically use based on my own understanding of the concept, since Miliki is one of 'Greenwood's wetdreams' and thus her Druids have no weapon restrictions. :D

Otherwise my usual standby would involve something magical. I never liked Wizards with their spell books so when 3E showed up with the Sorcerer I finally had something to play on that angle...

I've been trying to find an angle on a half-orc that I like but I've yet to hit on it. Conceptually they're my favorite core book race but I seem to be lacking in good concepts for them.

Outside of the core rules I'm a fae fanatic, but the game offers so few choices for me in that arena. All that's out there is the Fairy from Mythic Races and it's got a lot of issues over it's ECL which most people find too high at +3. Self included. The author actually submitted it as +0 but that got edited without removing the things he'd put in to balance it down to +0.

If I ever find myself in an OA game (which I doubt) I'm fairly certain I'll end up with a Naga (Rokugan book). Probably shaman.

Favorite Combos:

Halfling Mage. Halflings make better mages then Rogues!

Human Fighter/Thief Having a few thief levels turns a boring fighter into a swasbuckling capable hero!

HalfOrc Psi Warrior. Appease your inner power gamer! A Half-Orc Psiwarrior with a spiked chain, and the stand still feat is almost untouchable! Watch as you DM has every monster in every encounter focus exclusively on you because you are dramaticly more dangerous then the rest of the party combined!

My personal favorite is a human rogue, followed closely by human psion(telepath). Rogues are all about the skill points, and telepaths are just amazing in social situations.
