Fear-based Necromancer?

Now, in the distant future I am going to be a player in a 3.5 ed game. I want to play a character that focuses on Necromancy, but not the typical necromancer I just want to collect souls and use primarily debuffs and fears. I've been looking for a fear-based prestige class that will mesh well with Necromancy and increase my wizard caster levels, etc. Possibly something that adds extra effects to fears or even more HD.

I have found one that is sort of similar but it is illusion or enchantment based. I'd rather not do that considering I've already recently experienced that enjoyment and it is well known by the DM that I can Illusion my way out of a paper bag in a pinch.

Basically, the question is, is there a prestige class that focuses on Necromancy based Fear effects and increases arcane caster levels? Or am I pretty much stuck with Illusions and Enchantments?

All sources available minus BoED and BoVD.

Nighmare Spinner and Dread Witch are great for fear builds, but I can't remember if they fit your criteria or not.

In any case, I don't see why a Necromancer can't use enchantments. No need to limit yourself to one school of magic, after all.

I didn't plan on it, I wanted to play a wizard to have the utility belt after all, I just wanted a build that didn't focus on enchantments. Pretty much, I want extra toys that focus on fears and keep my caster levels. I am looking into your suggestions, where are they located (what book, etc.)?

Dread Necromancer gains an At-will, free action, Fear aura at level 5.

Grab Frightful Presence at level 6 (meeting the Intimidate 9 ranks) for a attack or charge triggered fear ability.

You can already get this started before you start working into PrC's. Dandu's suggestions are good ones.

As usual, Dandu can read my mind of exactly what I want. Rumble your suggestions were awesome too, especially the Frightful presence one? Is that a Feat? I am not familiar with it...

Frightful presence is a feat in Draconomicon, p.106.
Requires Charisma of 15, 9 ranks intimidate.
You generate a 30' radius shaken effect for all opponents with less HD than you for 1d6 + CHA mod. rounds.
DC= 10 + 1/2 character level + CHA mod.
Triggers anytime you attack or charge.
Affects any creature with an intelligence of 4 and above, all dragons are immune.

Combine with Imperious Command and it's pretty powerful. Shame FP is based on HD though, but it's better than nothing.

Dreadful Wrath in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting is better than Frightful Presence. It can only be taken at 1st level (its regional), it isn't HD based, and it triggers every time you charge, full attack, or cast a spell.
