Feat Pre-reqs and retraining

Ok, so I want to make a cleric that has plate armor I know I need to take splint mail feat before I take plate and this is where the question lies: Can I retrain out splint feat for plate feat or will that cause me to lose the pre-req for plate (trianing in splint)? I would think I would lose the pre-req but I hate seeing a precious feat go to waste. Any thoughts?

You must always have the prerequisite feats for a feat. So, yes, you can not retrain the scale feat for the plate feat, because you need to have the scale feat to take the plate feat.
