Feat wanted for wizard 5/warweaver 4

Hi, prety much as the title says...
I'm currently playing my first arcane caster, and am really struggling with choosing feats. Just levelled so that i have 5 levels in (elven) generalist wizard, 4 levels in war weaver (so actually only lvl 8 caster).

The feats iv'e already got are Scribe scroll, Collegiate wizard (lots of spells known), Enlarge spell (qualifying feat), Spell penetration and Greater spell penetration.
I also took Elven generalist as first level substitution.

My party roll has generally been to buff the rest of the party and occasionally resort to more damaging spells when called for.

I own lesser metamagic rods of extend and empower spell.

Elven spell lore has been suggested, since with lots of bashers in the party i'm quite often stripping enemies magical protection so they can be squished.
I had also considered taking Practised spell caster, which will boost all my spells as well as my caster level checks a bit, though i'm not sure if it is worth it for just one level higher.
Thoughts on these and other options would be appreciated.

Also, what are the requirements for entering into fatespinner, and at what level do you skip caster level progression as i currently dont have access to the book.

Depending on your alignment, deity and Wisdom score, Arcane Disciple from CDiv might be usefull. Have a fellow player following the same general build you have and will be picking that up soon to add the cure wounds to his spell list.
If you have a lot of touch spells, Reach Spell also from CDiv will turn them into rays with a 30ft range for +2 spell level.
You also might want to look though the CMage for some ideas.

Elven Spell Lore is definitely worth a look.

Spell Focus and Greater Spell Focus might also be a good idea, depending on what spells you typically use.

Sudden Maximize is a good feat for wizards also.

Arcane Strike can be good, depends on the character (and by no means does he have to be a battle mage for this feat to be useful).

When creating the character (at 6th lvl) i'd considered arcane disciple to get healing spells on my list, but as someone else was playing a radiant servant of pelor, i opted for lawful neutral and the elven goddess from races of the wild-no clue what her domains are. Now the radiant servants died and i'm not too keen to change my character concept to get healing spells, so thats out for the time being...

At the moment i tend to take a lot of buffing and utility spells like cats grace (so usually have an init of +6 already), jump, displacement etc, with only a couple of spells at each level dealing direct damage like magic missile, scorching ray, fireball and dragons breath.

Im only a level away from leaving my current prestige class, and had no real plans for the future, though i quite liked the look of the fatespinner. I dont own the book however, so am unsure what the prerequisites are (if there's a feat needed that could solve my indecission).

I'm tempted by sudden maximise as it would mean that when it's necessary to deal damage i would do a lot, but at one use a day i wonder whether something with a more general effect might not prove more useful in the long run.

As for elven spell lore, i was definately interested, but was dithering as to which spell to apply it to (currently have up to 4th level spells). Fireball seems a fairly obvious utility spell, but with 3 1/2 frontliners in the group, i wonder whether a more focused attack spell might be better. Any suggestions?

Fatespinner needs the following:
Knowledge (arcana) 10 ranks, Profession (Gambler) 5 ranks, Access to 4th lvl spells, one or more divination spells at least lvl 1st
