Feats every level question

I know some have used feats every level instead of every third in their D&D games. For those who do so do you leave fighters as is?

Does the feat every other level feel like enough of a class feature in such a house ruled D&D game? Has anybody gone to the extreme of giving fighters feats every level in such a game?

I've got plenty of fighter feats from the srd, Complete Warrior, PHII, Torn Asunder, Beyond Monks, and adapting some Iron Heroes, AU, and other sourcebooks so I'm not really worried about running out of feat options for characters.

I find it hard to believe that fighters are viable in a feat-every-level game. I've not seen one played, but I don't see why anyone would play one.

If you are using action points or some such, the though I had was to give them +1 action point per level with no feat (3, 5, 7, etc.) Not much, but it should help a bit. So if they are to have 5 action points (fixed) they'd get 6 at 3rd and 4th, 7 at 5th and 6th, etc.

Fighters in a feat-per-level game are plenty viable in 3.5 games. There are enough good feats to still provide incentive to stay in the class.

With all the feats available through various sources (and I'm just thinking of those published by WOTC), a feat every three levels just doesn't seem like enough. Even with extra feats, the fighter still comes out ahead, allowing them more options. PHBII, in addition to adding great feats for everyone, provides incentive to stay as a fighter in the form of Weapon Mastery and Weapon Supremacy.

Yep, PHBII provides even more incentive to stay a Fighter, even in a feat-per-level game. Every time I've used these rules but one, there's been a Fighter in the party (though in some cases the Fighters took prestige classes).
