I know I probably missed something in the rules, but would a 1st-level Human Commoner actually get two feats?
It just seems insane to me that a Commoner with probably only 2 or 3 hit points and a handful of skill points should still get two feats...uggh.Skinwalker said:AFAIK, yes...
I agree. When designing non-adventuring NPCs, select feats that make sense for their profession.Sejs said:On the other hand, they're commoners.. it's not like a commoner is going to need or take Dodge or Weapon Focus as a feat - for them, it would be a terrible waste. Your average Joe Farmer commoner would probably take Skill Focus (Profession) and Endurance as his feats.
Things that would actually benefit him in his day-to-day, adventure-free life of tilling fields and milking cows.

I mean really, +3 HP is huge when you're only ever going to have 1d4 HP or something.

And this is why 1st & 2nd level parties shouldn't go shooting their mouths off in bars. All those 6 & 7 HP farmers and blacksmiths apprentices are actually kind of tough.
