Better product support, larger web support, more meaty setting as a default and easier rules to grok for newbies who--looking to play a game--aren't keen on that actor/role gimmick.

Hey, thanks for the clarification :)

Which do you all reckon is faster paced and more fun? I'm thinking about buying one to run occasional oneshots from.

Well I can't say much for HKAT! since I've only flipped through it, but Feng Shui is fast, fun, and flexible. It is also readily adaptable to all kinds of movies. It would be a great system to run Star Wars

But I digress...

The one rule that sold me on Feng Shui was that if you use a shot (kinda like sacrificing a point of initiative) to make a "Ka-chink" noise while wielding a shotgun, the shotgun does an extra point of damage.

I think that one rule sums up the methodology of the game.

Having contributed material to both games as a freelancer, I must say that I definitely prefer Feng Shui, for pretty much all the reasons Corinth already posted.
