Obviously, Lasair, Oirhandir, Troi, and Sunny are togeather at this point.

Troi:
Sunny says to Troi "Well, I think I'm all done with my errands for today, I'll tag along with you if there's anything you want to do. Just us too warriors, yup."

Oirhandir:
"Well, did ya have something in mind fer tha rest of tha day, hon?" Scarlet asks.

Lasair:
[sblock]Lasair hers an arguement between what sounds like a female merchant and another man. The man insists he payed yesterday, while the woman says the document he has is forged. Lasair detects a hint of untruth in the woman's voice however, and is able to determine that the sound is coming from a booth or two over. It's quite audible, but no one else seems to pay it any heed.[/sblock]

Elise:
Valdor says to Elise, before she gets too far in trying the dresses on, "Would you like me to close the tent?" Apparently, in her haste and awkwardness, she had forgotten to do so.

OOC: Don't forget to update the first posts in the old thread with any updated info (I use it for rolls and such a lot)

Oirhandir smiled at his lady. "I've two ideas on my mind", he related. "The first is to stroll over to the east fields and enjoy what entertainment there may be there. The second is to saddle my horse, Hiriloce, and to find a pleasant spot to enjoy a picnic together, just the two of us. Which would you prefer?"

"There appears to be a merchant over there trying to swindle someone into paying twice. Oirhandir, I am correct in assuming that in this culture, it is not our place to interfere with such things, as it does not concern us?"

Troi, Oirhandir, Lasair:
"Well, why don't we see what's ove' in tha east field before we decide. Sound good?" Scarlet asks.

Indeed, now that Lasair points it out, there does seem to be an animated discussion going on a few booths down between a man and a female merchant. How Lasair know's he's being swindled however is not so apparent.

"Merchants who take advantage of people are so low." Scarlet says in disgust.

"Hey, you can't tear up my reciept!" exclaims the upset the man.

"It's an obvious forgery sir, now one more word and I'll have Bruno over here give you what's coming to you." Replies the merchant, in an oddly calm voice. "Unless you're willing to purchase your merchandice."

"But I paid you to repair it! It's mine!" the upset man continues....

Oirhandir shook his head. "If we see an obvious wrong", he explained, "we are free to decide if we are to make it our business or not. Although if it is not apparent to others that we are acting against an injustice, we may be seen as troublemakers ourselves."

"I agree", Oirhandir said, setting his jaw. His opinion of Scarlet had climbed another notch...pretty, smart, and righteous, too. "Maybe there is something we can do", he ventured. "Lasair, how is it that you know that the merchant is the cheat and the customer the victim?"

Oirhandir
"We are free to decide if we are to make it our business or not. Although if it is not apparent to others that we are acting against an injustice, we may be seen as troublemakers ourselves."

Troi's eyes narrow as he overhears the merchant's conversation.

"Bein' seen a troublemaker don't bother me one bit." Troi says darkly. He looks to Lasair. "I dunno how you know he's bein' ripped off, but I don't like th' way she's threatenin' 'im. Back where I come from, merchants behave themselves, 'cause they're scared a th' consequences if they rip off th' wrong person, y'know?"

He looks to Sunny. "Sunny, you wait right 'ere. I'm gonna go over there'n see what's goin' on."

With that, he heads over to the merchant's booth, adjusting his whip and shortsword to ensure they are visible. "What's th' problem 'ere?" He asks in a mildly friendly tone.

"I sense deceptive waves from that woman's Ziivash. Even if I did not, as the merchant, she should have the prerogative to bring this to the attention of the authorities if she were not the liar--by resorting to threats of force against a customer, who is already in the lower position in the exchange, she is just a bully and is proven false. Besides, I think I remember that she lied about how much money she had lost to the bandits when I came around with handouts earlier."

OOC: Good call Lasair, indeed, she did. Did you accompany Troi over there?

The man looks at you and says "I paid this woman 50 gold to repair my mandolin after someone came into my camp next door and busted it, and now she's claiming I did no such thing and offering to sell it to me for 250. It's been in my family for years, and it's all I have left."

The man wears a simple set of light robes, and carries a spear. He looks young but weathered from traveling and the outdoors. His face is cut in a stern yet gentile handsomness and his voice is almost musical, even in his excited state of speaking.

"Sir, I just met you, and you come at me with this rubbish note," she points to the scraps in the ground "and claim that the most unique instrument on display is yours. I just brought it out from storage this morning after selling one of my other treasures."

The woman is wearing a tight white top that shows just a hint of cleavage, and tight black pants. Her dark brown hair cascades off her shoulders and down her back, with flecks of grey deftly hidden amonst the strands. Her face's youth is fading slowly, but shines of a mature beauty. However, she not look like she smiles often, as her face seems somewhat permanently contorted into a mild scowel.

[sblock=Lasair]The man seems genuinely outraged, and thankful that someone else has stepped in. The woman's tongue spews lies as expertly as you've seen in a long time, and her confidence in what she says is but another deceptor[/sblock]
