Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

"Kanatisis, eh? I've never heard of it", remarked Oirhandir. "Perhaps one day I may be so fortunate as to wander there myself." The bard smiled at his new acquisition. "I'm sure it will do just fine. I thank you for your service, Mr....?" He paused, searching for a name he had never been told.
"Morando. Just call me Morando"

Gnomeworks: [sblock]I know you were sort of general as to what you were looking for, so I gave you a broad view of things. If you narrow it down a bit OOC or even IC, you probably can find it. Don't want to move on till you've had your input for at least today, and haven't heard from you yet.[/sblock]

"UMMMM" Fang thought to himself. "Fang really like mastercraftsmen to make him sword, but money is much. Maybe it best for Fang to wait."

With that Fang heads back to the caravan.

OoC: [sblock]Troi is pretty poor, so I wasn't planning on making any purchases. I figured that, if I didn't post, we would eventually move on... but I suppose I should at least post to let you know I'm still paying attention. :)[/sblock]

Troi looks over the merchandise, then shakes his head. "Well, I'd like ta get somethin', y'know, but th' weapons I'm usin' er either magical er made by m'self, so... an' add ta that that I'm poor, an it ain't lookin' too good fer me ta buy somethin'." He smiles.

With that, he heads back to Ingus' wagon.

Daphnie watches with interest, smiling at the strange display of magic you show her.

"Who's Ingus?" She asks. "My dad will be busy later, we can go back to my house, but why don't we look around the festival first. Maybe there's some neat jewelry around or something."

"Sure hon, let's check out the festival some more, then we can check our your place. I'll buy you some jewlery if you want it -- might look nice. I mean, you already look nice. So some earrings or a necklace would make you look -- well -- spectacular."

Oirhandir spent about an hour unpacking and repacking his new backpack. The side pockets held his tent, cooking pot, and all the money he had left. After putting everything else in the center compartment, he noticed that he had plenty of room left over, so he started taking items out of Hiriloce's saddlebags or that had been tied to his saddle and now were lying loose on the ground. A lantern, a mirror, even a shovel...all disappeared into the gaping maw of the bag, with room to spare. Finally, just as he was starting to fill it up, he ran out of possessions. He hefted the pack, and found that even with all his equipment, it weighed little more than a finely balanced sword. The elf smiled. Traveling was about to get much easier, both for him and his mount!

He checked once again that no sharp objects were straining the fabric, and eased it onto his shoulders. Light as a feather! He folded up his old backpack, and told Fang that he was going to try to sell it. Fang could buy it for next to nothing, if he wanted, or the elf was going to see if Morando would buy it.

Daphnie giggles and grins, as she pulls you further into the Freefolk camp. They have tents set up selling clothing, jewelry, weapons, armor, and odd alchemical trinkets. One of the jewelry merchants sees the two of you, smiles, and says "I have the perfect neclace for your lady friend." He rumages through some boxes and pulls out a long silver chain with a hardened amber stone on the end, shaped like a heart. "Try it on my lady" he says as he hands it to her. Daphnie smiles excited and puts it on, and the heart dangles quite nicely in her clevage. She looks at you and says "Ooh, this is so pretty, don't you think? Can you buy it for me?" The merchant says "It is lovely on you, and a mere 10 gold is all it will cost for it to be hers forever." Daphnie looks longingly into your eyes.

"Tis a shame, for I saw you eyeing that finely crafted rapier over there. Tis a mere 315 gold, and the finely carved hilt would look stunning on you" The weapon he is refering to is indede a fine blade. Well balanced, with an intricately carved pommel guard that makes it look like vines had grown out of the base of the sword to encompass the hand of whoever held it. The finely wrapped hit looks almost treelike, with the base having the appearance of leaves carved into the the end.

The two of you continue to walk around, and compile numbers. As the day winds on, you head back to Ingus's to go over your numbers, notes and gut feelings. In the end, you believe you have located one wagon owner who was charged 35 gold, but beyond that, the numbers do not add up, or the merchants were not honest, or they said they'd be happy if whoever stoped the bandits kept the gold. No merchant seemed like they thought they'd get the money back, and you are sure that there are several merchants who were robbed, but not by Phineus.

OOC: I will be wrapping up the day for the rest of you shortly as well. Going to give GW some time to finish up his talk, Fang a chance to finish up with Oirhander, and Sunny a chance to finish up the day as well. So, hopefully tonight, we'll move on to the next day :)

Comes back sweating and huffing, having foolishly brought her equipment Well that could have gone better. What now?

Throughout the rest of the night she will offer a waterskin to each party member, as her general question went unanswered Lasair, Do you have need of a waterskin, it's weighing me down
