Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

Daphnie giggles and grins, as she pulls you further into the Freefolk camp. They have tents set up selling clothing, jewelry, weapons, armor, and odd alchemical trinkets. One of the jewelry merchants sees the two of you, smiles, and says "I have the perfect neclace for your lady friend." He rumages through some boxes and pulls out a long silver chain with a hardened amber stone on the end, shaped like a heart. "Try it on my lady" he says as he hands it to her. Daphnie smiles excited and puts it on, and the heart dangles quite nicely in her clevage. She looks at you and says "Ooh, this is so pretty, don't you think? Can you buy it for me?" The merchant says "It is lovely on you, and a mere 10 gold is all it will cost for it to be hers forever." Daphnie looks longingly into your eyes.

"That's a very, very...that's a very nice... I mean, it looks really, really good on you, hangnig there," says Sunny, with not quite James Bondian assurance, "yeah, I mean, pretty hot, pretty nice looking there, that necklace stuff. Here is 10 gold, yeah. No problem."

Sunny, bedazzled, hands over the gold no questions asked.

"Tis a shame, for I saw you eyeing that finely crafted rapier over there. Tis a mere 315 gold, and the finely carved hilt would look stunning on you"

Troi stops short as the merchant informs him of the cost of the blade. He turns, and shrugs.

"Well, yeah, I was lookin' at it, an' thinkin' 'bout askin' how much it was. But I'm workin' on savin' my money... y'see, I was really lookin' fer somebody ta enchant this here." He pulls out his boomerang and shows the merchant. "I know it'll cost quite a bit, an' I ain't got th' cash, but I figured it didn't hurt ta take a look, y'know? An' th' only other weapon I've got a real int'rest in is a whip, but I've got a pretty nice one already, an' given how much it cost, I don't think I kin afford a better one at th' moment."

"You offer me a gift of water?" Lasair asks, smiling brightly at Elise, "Why thank you very much, my friend."

*Lasair gives Elise a hug and takes a sip from the waterskin and then reaches for her own.*

"Then I offer you a gift of my water in return."

The merchant nods understandibly "Well, suit yourself."

Unable to find anything more affordable that you were looking for, you end up in the evening back at Ingus's caravan.

Daphnie smiles and says "Oh, thank you" and plants a big one right on the lips.

As the day wares on, she whispers to you "I think daddy's gone now, want to give me that show now back at my place?" Not waiting for a responce, she slowly drags you back to the town, slipping behind an ally and entering one of the larger houses in the back door and leads you up to her room. You show her your... um... tricks, and you both have a very good time.

"Oh, it's getting late." she says "You need to get going." She gives you a big kiss and leads you back out the back. "I'll find you tomorow Sunny" she smiles and waves before closing the door.

Sunny returns to Ingus's caravan smiling.

Actually, Sunny isn't just smiling, Sunny is beaming Sunnily, and if there are lipstick smears across his face and/or his shirt is torn and/or unbuttoned and/or unlaced -- that's OK with Sunny. Let it be. He's ready to drink and brag. You know how it is. When lightning strikes, you gotta tell the neighbors.

o, O why thankyou Elise takes a sip of Lasairs waterskin But I'd also like you to have the water and the container, I have more

With everyone back at Inguses caravan, Ingus has food prepaired for everyone. The stew is wonderful, as you all share stories of your exploration of the festival so far. Ingus mentions "You should try to be up about 2 hours after dawn, for that's when the festival is officialy kicked off tomorow. They usually have a little cerimony in the east field."

As the night wears on, those on watch see occasional activity from other wagons and caravans, most likely watches or final setups, but otherwise, it is an uneventful night. Dawn arives soon enough.

OOC: Feel free to RP the discussion from the night, or whatever. And let me know your adgendas for tomorow. Oirhander, you can still try to sell that backpack if you want, or you can do it tomorow.

OOC:[sblock]Oirhandir would have given a party member first crack at it, so if Fang is interested, it's his. Price is 10sp=1gp, he might haggle down to 9sp or even 8. If nobody in the party expressed interest, he would have seen if Morando was interested in trying to make a profit on a used, non-magical container in good condition. Failing that, he'd see if Ingus would take it on consignment (it would be the only pack for sale amidst a number of weapons, armor, and gems), and if THAT didn't work, he roam more or less systematically through the festival looking for a buyer.

Oirhandir will make plans to be at the opening festivities. Since he only needs 4 hours of trance, it shouldn't be difficult to be ready.

Once the backpack is sold and the ceremony attended, Oirhandir will see about Phineus's chain shirt, i.e., does it fit and is it in need of repair? If he can wear it, he'll take it, and if it needs work or fitting, he'll see if Ingus can help with that.[/sblock]

Oirhandir noticed Sunny striding into camp, looking like a sailor on the second day of a three-day shore leave. "It seems that fortune has smiled upon thee", he commented wryly. "So, what fantastic bargain did you strike at this festival today?"

Oirhandir: [Sblock]Morando will offer you 8 sp for the bag, seeing as it is in good shape, but he is not in dire need (he has quite a few new ones). The Chain is probably wearable now, but you might need it to be adjusted a bit for general comfort (treated as regular chain till you get it adjusted). Ingus thinks he can do it for about 15 gold, not sure if he can adjust it here though. You might be able to find a blacksmith to adjust it here, but it will likely cost more due to pure time demand.[/sblock]

Ingus hands you each 10 gold in the morning before you set off for your night's watch pay. He also hands Oirhandir a bag filled with 226 gold. "That's from the sale of the stuff you got off the bandits. I haven't sold it all yet, but it doesn't look like I'll have much of a problem getting rid of it."

OOC: This is more for your information on planning than anything else. I'll probably start the new day on sunday, and give you a chance to chat for the night/plan for the morning :)
