Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

So, Oirhandir and Elise, what do you intend on looking for in the south fields?

Everyone else, any plans for the day?

OOC: Things should be going a bit faster for the next few days. I also know Rystil may be somewhat absent for the next few weeks due to travel, and I know two has not returned from a trip.

Oirhandir is pretty much thinking of Scarlet, Scarlet, and Scarlet, so he'll be making a beeline to Lord Valdor's camp across from the elven scroll merchant, if he can find it. Once he gets there, he has no plans for the day other than to entertain Scarlet for as long as possible. Elise is welcome to accompany Oirhandir, or to peel off and spend time with Lord Valdor as she pleases. ;) If Scarlet has no plans and no idea what she wants to do, Oirhandir will resume his exploration of the festival starting at the south fields and winding back to the west fields and the Freefolk camp. He'd definitely plan on stopping at Falander's for a Jellywine Roll (and one for Scarlet, if she so desires). If anything of importance is going on in the east field, he'll break for that and then return to "exploring" when it's over. Let me know if we get through all of the south and west fields, or if there is any significant interaction with anyone.

OOC: Elise on the other hand just has warping the threads of reality on mind;), she plans on just having a nice day with Oirhandir and, she thought, Lasair. Showing up at Valdor's will be a suprise for her.

OOC: Yeah, that was a bit of metagaming on my part back there. Oirhandir has no idea that the handsome man who danced with Elise last night was Lord Valdor. For all he knows, Lord Valdor is middle-aged and portly. And it's not assured that he will tell Elise that he's going to Lord Valdor's camp, since he doesn't know where it is. From Scarlet's directions, he assumes that it's easier to just find the elven scroll merchant, turn your back to the scrolls, and voila! Lord Valdor's camp -- and Scarlet.

Oirhandir also doesn't know that Sunny has done business with the scroll merchant.

I wasn't sure if Lasair was coming or not. I thought she was from Rystil Arden's post of 7/29, then thought that Bront had ruled that she wasn't from his post of 8/03. Oirhandir doesn't really care...he'll be glad to escort two human women to Lord Valdor's camp, introduce them to his new elven hearthrob, etc.

OOC: I missed that she was coming, I'll look back. Since Rystil may be gone for a bit, if she's parked for a bit it won't hurt anyone, but she can be drug allong to lure men away from Elise ;)

*Lasair wants to explore the festival to look for more cultural nuances, and so she had been planning on going with Elise. If Elise wants to go somewhere without her, she's fine with going it alone as well.*

Lasair, Elise, and Oirhandir head south to explore the south fields. The only thing of note on the way is the two gnomes from last night locked in the stockades in the town square. Several passer bys are starting or laughing at them. There is a sign posted by them that reads: Please do not dishonor Halina by throwing any of the unspoiled harvest at these dishonorable people. Spoiled harvest may be purchased for throwing durring the afternoon from the festival proper in the east field.

Close to the entrance you find Falander's booth, and he waves you all over to hand you each a jellywine roll. Several other food and clothing merchants are down here. There is a fine musical instrument merchant, a song and storybook merchant, and a prop merchant for aspiring entertainers. Without too much problem, Elise spots the elven scroll merchant, who has many wizardly and clerical scrolls for sale. Across from him is a fabric and quilt booth, and you both spot Lord Valdor and Scarlet, who seem to be talking with another merchant so they have not noticed you yet.

OOC: Let me know if you wanted to look around any of the before mentioned shops before you arive here.

Oirhandir thanked Falander for the rolls, and he offered to pay for them. They were every bit as delicious as the one he'd been handed on the roadside several days earlier.

The bard inquired as to whether the seller of instruments had some fine chimes for sale, but he was more interested in just seeing a fine set than in purchasing them. "Maybe next year", he thought to himself, "or at least until I can get a better bow."

Ah, Scarlet! Oirhandir approached the booth, presuming that one of the merchants was Lord Valdor, but not really knowing which one. Most of his attention, however, was drawn to the lovely elf who was conversing with them. He stood patiently while the others finished their business, before greeting Scarlet and introducing Elise and Lasair as fellow members of Ingus's caravan guard.

Elise thanks Falander

Later on her eyes light up at the sight of the scroll merchant but it is quickly forgotten at the sight of Valdor. Also waiting till the finish, she is a little surprise at Oirhandir's introduction but continue with some of her own "This is Lord Valdor of Riem" she say motioning to the appropriet merchant and then to her companions "And these are my friends, Lasair ond Oirhandir"

Edit: Later Elise would like to check out the scroll place
