Fey Damage Reduction

Thanks to d20srd.org I was able to do the research I've been meaning to do for months in about 25 seconds.

The Fey Subtype does not grant damage reduction of any type to a creature. However, every Fey creature in the srd has at minimum DR Cold Iron/5.

Now, in my never-ending quest to create the perfect goatman ... I took the Ibixians from MM3 and rebuilt them using fey HD instead of monstrous humanoid.

What ramification to CR/LA is made by granting a creature DR Cold Iron/5?

I'd probably bump it up 1. IIRC, the goatmen are lower level, so a 5pt DR can make them significantly tougher.

But fey HD suck, so I'd leave it unchanged. You're losing IIRC 6 HP and +2 BAB.

fey DR is badass - not many enemies have cold iron weapons (unless, of course, they are looking to kill things that have such a DR). i would bump the CR by +1 for that alone.

however, if you're taking something that's not a fey and making it into a fey, i agree that the loss of HP and BAB cancels that out.
